Halloween movies

Top 10 Halloween movies
written by Agata

As Halloween is just around the corner I decided to create top 10 list of the best (fashion wise)  horror movies.
Did you ever noticed that behind every scary story, there are suprisingly fashionable outfits. If the answer is No, cancel all that fancy halloween partys, trick or treating or whatever you've planned. There's a horror marathon waiting for you! So turn off the lights, prepare your favourite beverages cold and snacks handy. Here is my short list full of fear and inspiration.

1.Carrie (1976)
Sissy Spacek's loose waves and pink slip dress made Carrie forever iconic. This movie scared every girl out of campaigning for that once-coveted prom queen crown.

2. Rear window (1954)
"Well, if there's one thing I know, it's how to wear the proper clothes." Boy, was she right! Edith Head designed this beautiful black and white dress—as well as Kelly's real-life wedding gown.

3. Psycho (1960)
Janet Leigh's killer shower scream still gives us the shivers—but it's her crisp, office-appropriate style that really sets her apart.

  4. The birds (1963)
Ah, the skirt suit that will live in infamy. From the beautiful pale green color to that flawless fit, this two-piece ensemble is completely iconic. Take it from Tippi—the key to rocking a suit is all in the attitude.

5. Addams family (1991)
They may be creepy, spooky but they know how to wear black. Wednesday Addams has seriously scary knack for style! From her impeccably braided coiffure and moon-shaped, ghastly pale face to her grimly hued garb, she was damn chic, a style I can’t help but want to channel as Halloween creeps closer and closer.

6. Silence of the lambs (1991)
Unlike most horror movies, the conversations here are scarier than the gore. But fear not, the gore doesn’t disappoint. After all that splendor and glamour, there's time for simplicity. Officer's Clarice wardrobe it's basic and functional and chic.

7. Seven(1995)
Not forgetting about men's fashion, this movie gonna give you serious shivers.  Brad Pitt as cop mills is quite sharp dresser. Tartan jacket, white shirt and clean-cut look steals my heart.

8. Halloween (1978)
Oh, no you can't skip this movie. It's worth  to see, even because that 70's style. Jamie Lee Curtis is almost unrecognizable in the 1978 thriller that first introduced us to Michael Myers. Considering the killer's creepy mask and rather large knife, it's no wonder poor Laurie looks terrified!

9. Rosemary's baby (1968)
Rosemary is wearing various patterns,  florals, plaids and different types of garments like the famous baby doll dresses, exaggerated collars, a turtleneck, nightgowns and even a pantsuit. But as much as we love the wardrobe in Rosemary's Baby, it's Mia Farrow's dramatic pixie cut that truly steals the show.

10.The Rockie Horror Picture Show (1975)
This position is on my "to watch list" this weekend, so I can't really say much about it. But  if company like MAC is taking inspiration, for their new Halloween collection, means it has to be amazing. I'm sure there's gonna be many strong make-up looks and it's cult musical which is why it landed on this list.

Hope you all gonna enjoy it, and make sure to comment ( facebook, instagram or below) which movie was your favourite.

Happy watching,

Agata
