Cooking with StyleGamblers - Almond cake

Simple almond cake

Whenever I'm doing my groceries shopping for the last few weeks, my basket is full of fresh vegetables and fruits. That's how sunny weather
works on my taste buds. I just love all the seasonal goodies, they remind me of my childhood. I remember spending hours on collecting fruits from my parents garden, it was pure pleasure. There"s nothing to bring those moments back, but I have a little substitute.
Preparing this cake takes only a moment and it's super easy. It's perfect for evening cup of tea. You are going to satisfy your sweet tooth but not going to feel heavy. Fresh fruits topping only makes it more delicious.

 INGREDIENTS:
260g ground almond
3 large eggs, beaten
50 ml honey
6 tbs almond oil
3 tbs icing sugar
pinch of salt

FOR DECORATION
1 glass of berries
2tbs grated dark chocolate

DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat the oven to 175°C, butter a tart form.

2. Combine together all the ingredients until well blended.

3. Pour into the form, bake for 40-50 mins, until lightly browned and set. Leave to cool before serving.

4. Decorate with berries or any other seasonal fruits. Sprinkle with grated dark chocolate or/and honey:)
Tastes amazing with whipped cream too.
Enjoy!
